Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Performance

One of our oldest and core clients is Jones Lang LaSalle and since 2013 we have incorporated an extensive W.H.S system to meet their compliance system CM3 .

It is an increasing requirement to meet a high standard of procedures to ensure we comply and are able to undertake work for clients. From ensuring our insurances are up to date and other relevant licenses to having the procedures to meet the health and safety required for our workers on sites of our clients.

Cm3 Australia’s leading online Contractor OHS/WHS Prequalification system. Cm3 addresses the need for both contractors; and the organisations they conduct work for to demonstrate contractor health and safety management capabilities, along with providing assistance for organisations to better manage their contractors around health and safety requirements.

Having such an involved W.H.S system involves regularly updates by Kiasten our Occupational Health and Safety officer to ensure we are CM3 compliant. We have an extensive manual of procedures regularly updated in toolbox meetings and reviews. Please refer to our O.H.S.E Management Plan document submitted.

A big part of this is ensuring the red folders in our vehicles have all the updated and relevant safety forms to be used and completed. All vehicles have first aid, fire extinguishers and P.P.E and are regularly checked.

INDUSTRY SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

As a plumbing company who has been around for over 20 years we are highly regarded in the industry. Rod knows the Perth manager of Reece very well and has a lot of respect in the industry. Rod knows a lot about plumbing with many years of experience and passes this knowledge on to his employees. Not just about plumbing but also on customer service, pride in their work, positivity and quality. You can hire a plumber but it takes a lot more than trade skills to be an excellent plumber worthy of walking through a front door to complete a job to the satisfaction that is required these days and all with manners and a smile.

Rod and Kiasten have young children whom are actively involved in Little Athletics WA and have been the past couple of years. We have provided sponsorship this season to the Joondalup club to support them and we hope the funding helps the running of the season. The kids love the Saturday morning competitions and is a vibrant community of parent volunteers. Active kids are happy kids and Refined Plumbing are happy to be support this wonderful club our kids are involved in. It also helps with our marketing having our logo on the track on Saturday mornings, the Joondalup little athletics webpage and emails around to over 400 families.

We are big believers in giving back to the community hence for a number of years we have sponsored the Perths Special Childrens Christmas Party.  The support for this annual event makes this a special day to special needs children creating a day of fun filled activities and a present for Christmas.

We have also recently taken up advertising on local community pages on facebook in our area around our business and family home in Perth’s northern suburbs advertising Refined Plumbing under recommendations for plumbers. We hope to support our local community more so in the future now we are entering this new phase of digital marketing.
